Castalides
The La Grange ‘Castalides’ wines are cuvées from our best and oldest vineyards. The yields are minimal, the grapes are carefully selected, the quantity is therefore very limited. The ‘Castalides’ wines are aged in barrique. They have diversity, volume, elegance, sensuousness and finesse. They are impressive and complex personalities.
This line is an homage to the ‘Castalides’, the water nymphs who guard the wells at La Grange and make it an inspirational place. At dusk they place the water lilies in their hair and dance around the wells. Nothing could express the characteristics of these high class wines better than the complex water lily with its fine structure and sensuous beauty.
